The results from the recent recycling service surveys conducted in Royalla and Burra/Urila are now available on-line. You can browse the individual survey responses, and generate a basic set of statistics for each survey. (more…)

Integrated Planing & Reporting Workshop Data

PLEP Maps
I’ve loaded all of the currently available maps associated with the draft PLEP into the Palerang Info Zone part of the website. If you navigate down through the Palerang Info Zone > PLEP > Maps links in the left side menu (or just click here), you will find links to the Land Application, Biodiversity, Height of Buildings, Lot Size and Zoning maps. Earthworks
I received a ‘phone call from a resident recently, concerned by a letter he had received from Council. The letter referred to an access roadway that was being upgraded, and suggested that some 600 tonnes of fill that he had brought onto his property for the purpose of this exercise would need to be removed.
As it turned out, the real problem was simply the source of the fill, and once this had been established, the issue was resolved. (more…)
Dual Occupancy Developments
Council’s LEP meetings are now largely devoted to tidying up inconsistencies that have been identified by the NSW Department of Planning and Infrastructure, prior to the public display period and final adoption of the document.
One change that may be of interest to local residents was the requirement to remove Dual Occupancy dwellings from the list of allowable land uses in rural and environmental zones, including the E4 zone that will be applicable to rural residential areas. (more…)
Just get on with it…
I’ve been procrastinating over posts since I started this Blog, trying to get things just right before posting anything. The predictable result is No Posts! So I’ve decided to just get on with it, and post the stuff I have lying around regardless. There’ll be a few ‘dangling pointers’ for a while, while I get things together, but at least things will be happening!
Bear with me. It shouldn’t be long before things are running smoothly…
