Refined Data

At each of the eleven IP & R community consultation workshops, participants were asked to respond to five questions about life in Palerang, namely:

• Where are we now?
• Where are we going?
• Where do we want to be?
• How do we get there?
• How will we know when we've arrived?

The responses to these questions were recorded, collated and summarised, to produce a concise record of the community's input.

In analysing and refining these data, responses were ultimately grouped into seven distinct categories, recognising that, regardless of the chosen categories, there would always be some responses that might be classified in more than one. The chosen categories, which have shown to be fairly consistent across the thirty-odd LGAs that have already completed this process, were:

• Local Economy
• Natural Environment
• Local Governance & Finance
• Transport & Infrastructure
• Recreation & Open Space
